Editor’s Note: Since the time of this interview, the Hazelnut Marketing Board just concluded its annual Subjective Yield Survey, suggesting that harvest is now anticipated to be approximately 101,633.431 tons. This would shatter any previous U.S. hazelnut yield, and far exceed any industry estimations that placed the harvest at approximately 85,000 tons.
