    It’s very important for California farmers to know that not only will there be more funding available in the next round of the NRCS Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), but the application deadline is coming much earlier this year.     Editor’s Note: Since the time of this interview, the Hazelnut Marketing Board just concluded its annual Subjective Yield Survey, suggesting that harvest is now anticipated to be approximately 101,633.431 tons. This would shatter any previous U.S. hazelnut yield, and far exceed any industry estimations that placed the harvest at approximately 85,000 tons.
